When I reached the top of Kinder Scout it was completely clear, not a cloud in the sky … too clear for landscape photography, but that was ok as my goal was to capture the Mountain Hare. Whilst wandering over the Kinder plateau without any notice I was suddenly engulfed in a thick mist. This is often the case when up on Kinder Scout. The low cloud seems to come out of nowhere, especially when you’re down in one of the troughs of Kinder’s landscape. Making my way back I decided to rest my legs and hope for a break in the cloud - I could just make out some of the landscape and Kinder Reservoir in the distance. A fleeting moment came and I captured this. A familiar view to anyone that frequents the mighty Kinder Scout.
