On this day we decided to take our dog Bob for a walk around Goyt Valley. The weather was overcast and no signs of any breaks in the cloud. I’d taken some shots of Bob but no landscapes as there was no light to work with. Then, near the end of our walk, out of nowhere a burst of light made it through the clouds and down on to Wild Moor lighting the heather and this solitary tree. It was like someone turned a light on. So pleased I had my camera with me and quickly adjusting my settings, I managed to capture this. The light vanished as quickly as it had appeared.
