My favourite part of the Peak District is Derwent Valley. It has so much to offer for a landscape photographer with the water (3 huge reservoirs Ladybower, Derwent & Howden), the dams and the woodlands which surround them (the woodland forest between Win Hill and Ladybower being for me is the most impressive). There are also some great high points to enjoy along Derwent Edge, Win Hill and Bamford Edge. I like the history behind Derwent - makeshift villages created during its construction and other villages lost at the bottom of Ladybower which can be seen during droughts. Then of course there is connection to The Dambusters.
