For my canvases, I use a 350gsm cotton canvas which is stretched over a 30mm depth of frame. The frames are my own design. Rather than using the bevelled canvas wood I make the frame from Tulipwood which is knot free. Then on top of the frame a 3mm sheet of MDF is attached. This gives the frame more weight, strength and rigidity. Also, the canvas will never sag as it rests on the MDF. Unlike the usual canvas frames in which the canvas can easily sag if subjected to a warm environment, such as a radiator.
Images are printed on the Canon Pro 4000 44" which uses 12 different Lucia (Canon inks) inks which are lightfast for 75+ years. Each canvas/print is made to order. If you would like a bespoke size, please get in touch for a price.
