Born in Macclesfield I now reside in a village on the edge of the Peak District called Hayfield in Derbyshire. I am a self-taught photographer, who first picked up the camera in 2003.
Upon leaving school I worked in the advertising industry as a print buyer for many large blue chip clients. In 2005, myself & wife Sharon opened a mix media gallery space in the Northern Quarter, Manchester which was open for 3 years. I then launched my print business Big Exposure Print which still runs today. On a local level I work with artists to reproduce their work, such as Clare Allan & James Horton. I also supply many different forms of print items to local businesses and larger set ups such as the National Trust.
In August 2015 myself and my lovely wife Sharon opened our gallery Lomas & Lomas on Market Street in Hayfield. I have my photography on display both as canvases in various sizes and framed prints for sale. The gallery is also home to our interiors range of products which the designs mostly stem from my photography. We sell our designs as cushions & lampshades.
I launched my initial website back in 2013 as a result of receiving enquiries for purchases of my photography. Since we opened the gallery in 2015 the sales of my photography has been overwhelming. Being a rather modest person, I didn’t expect it. The feedback is very rewarding and love to hear how happy people are with their purchases and some even go to the trouble of sending me a picture of them in situ. As we have many tourists visiting Hayfield and the gallery, I have received orders from people all over the world. I have shipped canvases to Australia, America, South Africa & Italy.
